    Rip all who perished, your death was not in vain, they changed the rules for oxygen canisters. I pray everyday for all victims. Just so sad. How no one was jailed for this atrocity is sick.

    I’m thinking about the ATC, then I’m thinking about myself; the similarity is we were both working alone. Now he’s dead and I resigned it due to the stress from unfair justice. We both were the victims. R.I.P! 🕯️

    This aired before the final crash report came out, I think, where they found how a repeated failure with the RTLU unit caused the captain to disengage the autopilot, and the spatially disoriented copilot stalled the plane

    another crucial point back in 2001, the Russian pilots were getting an urgent, authoratitive command 'DESCEND NOW, EXPEDITE' whereas the TCAS has a monotonous 'climb, climb' so also the russians mostly ex soviet pilots at that time tool the urgent command most seriously which makes sense, this was totally sky guides fault not Peter, the back-up systems down, lack of man power etc etc

    the AF 447 france that crashed off Brazil was (like all accidents) a terrible tragedy, sadly 1st officer Bonin kept pulling back on his stick all the way down which pitched the nose up even when in a stall, they didnt realise until too close to ground, sad, but so many bells and sirens going off at the time so v.confusing for even an experienceded pilot but if they had 10,000 ft more could have rescued the plane and landed safely, v.tragic

    This video is very misleading. First off.not all the passengers had their oxygen masks on. Many masks were left dangling unused. This indicates that the passengers were already unconscious. From loss of oxygen The other issue was the struggle in the cockpit. This makes it sounds as there was an altercation. There wasn’t. There was a brave flight attendant who regained and attempted to land the aircraft.

    If they found 1 box why did they not say they had the voice recording- I believe they did and it was because they were sent into a storm and lost control and the ATC is to blame as the pilots would know the kind of danger they were in and ATC put them in that danger and effectively killed them imo

    Once again the Western bias is laid on thick to try to demonize or make the Russian Crew apear unprofessional or inferior, inadequately trained. "The Russian crew followed T CAS Russian style". What kind of willfully deceiving statement is that. Its very clear that the Russian crew were given contradictory orders. And according to Russian Aviation doctrine, a Human Being always has final authority and say over a computer, which makes perfect sense, since a human operator has an ability to override a computer issued command or alter it based on unforseen circumstances. This waa clearly a system failure, a poor establishment of proper protocol between two opposing view points between two different aviation authorities. I would have done the very same thing and assumed the person had more information than the computer and overrode the last min decision based on info that the piolets were not privi to. And it should be standard protocol that a human being should have final say and control over a computer. This is why when there is a issue or censor malfunction Autopilot hands control of the Airplane back to human control, not some other computer redundant system. Only human beings can evaluate a situation based on rational and logical reasoning and implement proper procedure to work a problem. I think we have learned from 737 Max crashes what happens when you rely and trust computer systems that are cold, indifferent and symply follow lines of ones and zeros blindly. Russian pilots are hands down more skilled and have far more experience when it comes to actually flying the actual Airplane vs being totally dependent on some computer Autopilot that does everything for you. Western pilots have demonstrated in the past few years that they barely know how to handle an Airplane when the Autopilot actually disengages. Look at Air France 447 flight, or 2009 Buffalo Continental 3407 flight, where pilots literally flew planes into the ground once they no longer had Autopilot. And thats just the tip of the Iceburg i can name at leas half dozen more.

    It is scary that no pilot had ever a training to be able to fligh a plane manually in high altitudes - that means until that accident everybody had fate only in the autopilot !?!?!?😮🤯🤯🤯😳 I mean Autopilot is really helpful but shouldn‘t a pilot also know how to fly hi self the airplane if anything happens !???! Thatbis unbelievable! 😮

    I understand TCAS takes precedence but it's pretty incredible that the controller is not privy to its directives and can inadvertently contradict it. Guess all that's changed now but how something wasn't implemented on day dot to avoid any confusion is ruddy baffling.

    That traffic controller didn’t check with either crew. He would know about the alerts telling a plan to drop or climb 1000 feet or more and he didn’t check with them and that guy is responsible for each and every death including his own

    This all seems to boil down to an over reliance upon computers, an information overload and a lack of natural flying ability to recognise a stall given the substantial rate of descent and lack of control outputs from the control column.

  • @jeffskillman6161
    @jeffskillman6161 3 месяца назад

    The commentary initially stated that Russian protocol was that the Controller's instructions took precedence over TCAS but later stated that Pilots could choose which instruction to follow (?). Usual protocol for pilots is to give way to aircraft converging from their right so surely the controller should have contacted the DHL pilot rather than the charter pilot thus avoiding the contradictory instruction or is this assumed to be the part of the same stressed mistake by telling the charter pilot an aircraft was converging from his tight? This aspect wasn't mentioned.
